[Mac-users] pages

A client has sent me a document in .pages format that (I infer) he'd rather
like me to jointly edit with him. Pages isn't that pricey, so I could just
buy it, but the app store tells me that I need OS X 10.9 in order to run
the version that it sells. However, I can't see a way to buy 10.9 in order
to upgrade.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it just the case that you can't buy pages
at the moment and that's just tough.
